With a dual camera setup, you may encounter a problem where camera 1 is suddenly recognized as camera 2 or vice versa, and show the wrong field of view from the Mirai Training App. This is a common issue that typically happens if there is an issue with the camera connections and can easily be resolved.
Verification Step: Tap to Toggle
To verify you are not viewing the wrong image by mistake, we recommend to first review the toggle pane. This is a common and easily overlooked feature of the camera settings page. Make sure the toggle window has not been accidentally selected. This toggle pane allows the second camera to be previewed in larger/main preview window of the camera settings page. This feature is best used to switch between the both cameras to more precisely adjust the gain and exposure settings.
If you have already verified that your camera images are in fact displaying from the wrong camera, following the troubleshooting steps below.
Step 1: Check for Incorrect Wiring
Follow the path of the cable connection starting from the camera unit down to the connection point on the Mirai Controller box. If both cameras are securely connected and getting power, you will see two LED's illuminated on the back of the Ximea camera unit (see image below):
- Red LED: Device is receiving power
- Green LED: Device is able to transmit data
- Third LED: Device is actively transmitting data (only illuminated during training)
Step 2: Check your Skill Configuration
Make sure your skill is properly configured to use two cameras and that the correct serial number is associated with the desired camera position.
Step 3: Reset the Physical Connections
Start by disconnecting all USB cables from the Mirai Controller box with power ON.
Next, power OFF the controller and reconnect the USB cables. Then power the Controller back ON.
